The eddying or turbulent flow resulting from this occurrence.

i. A turbulent eddy in fluid flow caused by roughness near the boundary surface or loss of energy in the laminar flowing fluid.
ii. A separation or breakdown of the laminar flow past a body; the eddying or turbulent flow resulting from this. Laminar airflow is one in which the air over a surface is in smooth layers and without any turbulence. Burble occurs over an airfoil operating at an angle of attack greater than the angle of maximum lift (i.e., stalling angle), resulting in a loss of lift and an increase of drag. Burble also occurs when a subsonic wing is at or near a compressibility Mach number when the wing first suffers a sudden separation of airflow resulting from a shock-wave formation.

[Lewis Carroll's "Jabberwocky"] Like flame, but connotes that the source is truly clueless and ineffectual (mere flamers can be competent). A term of deep contempt. "There's some guy on the phone burbling about how he got a DISK FULL error and it's all our comm software's fault." This is mainstream slang in some parts of England.
