A continuous metal shield will not support RF voltages, will function well as a shield and will allow
bypass capacitors to become effective.
Not included on the chip because of its required size is the source
bypass capacitor.
In fixed frequency oscillators, the varactor and its bias choke and
bypass capacitor are replaced with a single fixed capacitor, and capacitor [C.sub.TF] is eliminated.
A
bypass capacitor is lain aside the adjustment layer; it is showed in Figure 2.
These circuits use
bypass capacitor to "galvanic" isolation of the top driver from the bottom emitor potential (Lee, 2004).
The transmitter requires one external
bypass capacitor, a printed circuit board, battery and external case with pushbuttons to create a complete wireless remote control.
They start with the basics, covering the evolution of power distribution networks, then analyze simulation methods and tools, characterizing and modeling via phenomena and planes or laminates, impedance measurement, connections and calibrations, practical details of measurements, and characterization and modeling of
bypass capacitors, inductors, DC to DC converters and systems.
But for routing large or fine-pitch BGAs,
bypass capacitors, thermal management, and grounding on high-frequency parts, via-in-pad can be an effective, if demanding, solution.
In addition, if required, small-footprint surface-mount technology (SMT) components such as
bypass capacitors or thin film inductors can be integrated into the membrane design along the active traces.
Options include
bypass capacitors for increased differential mode noise rejection, and MOVs for line transient protection.
No external components are required for RF impedance matching into a 50-Ohm system, and only three
bypass capacitors are recommended on the supply lines for adequate noise filtering.
