It is known that the presence of
cast structure aluminium 6061 reduces the quality of aluminium strips.
As one may see from figure 1 (a) brass consists in
cast structure, with nonhomogeneous disposal of a solid solution and P solid solution and bronze (figure 1 b) has a
cast structure formed from a solid solution, [gamma] 2 solid solution and rounded eutectic of ([alpha]+[[gamma].sub.2]).
Ultrasonic testing and magnetic flaw detection of CESC castings showed dense
cast structure and absence of micro-cracks or any defects.

Eutectic alloys--These alloys have between 10% and 13% silicon, and consist mainly of Al-Si eutectic in the
cast structure. They have a narrow freezing range, excellent fluidity and are easy to cast.
Heat treatment does not change the typical signs of
cast structure in general but leads to formation of the fine troostitic structure after tempering.
