Similar to BoNT, BDNF is retrogradely transported from the periphery to the
cell body of motoneurons and then transcytosed to afferent presynaptic terminals [57].
Forty-eight hours into culture, CD117 [sup]+ CD34 [sup]+ cardiac TCs entered into cell division with an obvious invagination forming across the middle of the
cell body [Figure 4]b.
In present study it was found that neuronal somata with "typical chromatolysis" or "
cell body response" were located in caudal part of fifth cervical segment, whole of the lengths of sixth seventh and eight cervical segments and cranial part of first thoracic segment.
PCL is moderately wide, about 0.5 of the
cell body depth, supported with vertical divergent ribs directed anteriorly-laterally.
The stunted dendrites and
cell body of the activated caspase3 positive (red) +ILc Purkinje cell shown in Figure 2(a) show punctate labeling for [alpha]3 (green and yellow) throughout the remaining dendritic tree and
cell body.
Dendrites: The branched projections of a neuron that act to conduct the electrochemical stimulation received from other neural cells to the
cell body, or soma, of the neuron from which the dendrites project.
Epimastigotes treated with the IC50 concentration of guaianolide showed an increase of approximately 11.9% in cell length and decrease of approximately 14.3% in
cell body width (Table 1).
A dendritic spine is a small membranous protrusion from a neuron's dendrite that typically receives input form a single synapse of an axon, stores synaptic strength, and helps transmit electrical signals to the neuron's
cell body. The dendrites of a neuron cell can have hundreds or thousands of spines.
The basic nerve cell, or neuron, consists of a
cell body. The cell bodies of these neurons, located in the brain and spinal cord, stimulate skeletal muscles via the axons of the peripheral nerves.
neuron Any of the impulse-conducting cells that constitute the brain, spinal column and nerves, consisting of a
cell body with a nucleus, one or more dendrites (branches that conduct impulses toward the
cell body) and a single axon.
