It is linked to the five domains of program management of the Project Management Institute, with an emphasis on program stakeholder engagement, and covers engagement in the program definition phase and how to identify stakeholders, garner their trust, build relationships through communication, and prepare the organization for change, followed by the project execution phase and how to drive engagement through performance metrics, meeting management, informal program governance, and office politics, and the program
closure phase and the operational readiness review, including transition plans, new process documentation and training, new technology rollout, and cultural readiness assessment.
What made this project unique was the discipline of the project leader to execute on the project
closure phase. This dedication to seeing the project through the steps of its final stage resulted in a satisfied and productive user base.
