coefficient of induction

(electricity)
One of the coefficients which appears in the linear equations giving the charges on a set of conductors in terms of the potentials of the conductors; a coefficient is equal to the ratio of the charge on a given conductor to the potential on another conductor, when the potentials of all the other conductors equal 0.
