coincidence boundary

[kō′in·sə·dəns ‚bau̇n·drē]
(crystallography)
A grain boundary separating crystal lattices which are rotated with respect to each other by an angle with a special value, resulting in a periodic grain boundary structure and an extension of a sublattice of the original lattice across the boundary.
