coral vine

A very aggressive vine in the buckwheat family, has pyramid-shaped seeds, heart-shaped leaves and pink or white flowers. Whole plant is edible; leaves, flowers, nuts, roots. Antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and analgesic. Leaf tea used for diabetes, high blood pressure, colds, flu. Flowers and leaves advisable to steam or cook.
