crowdsale

A type of crowdfunding that issues tokens (electronic records) that are stored on the user's device. The tokens can function like a share of stock and be bought and sold ("equity tokens"), or they can pay for services when the service is up and running ("user tokens"). The crowdsale may also issue tokens as a short term loan ("debt tokens") that are repaid with interest. See cryptocurrency and crowdfunding.
