The ECM FPTU model showed that the maximum capacity of the ECM FPTU relative to the
design load (called the capacity factor) was important in determining how much fan power and energy could be saved during part-load operations of an ECM FPTU.
However, if you think of the maneuvering speed as a "safety valve" which will cause the wing to stall just prior to the
design load limit, thus unloading it, one realizes the lower the gross weight, the higher the G-load required to stall the wing, which can result in G-loads exceeding the aircraft's
design load limit!
The experimental capacities were compared with the calculated ones and the
design load. The following conclusions are earned:
The initial
design load of 42 MW was reduced to 37 MW.
Feeder conductors shall be sized for a maximum voltage drop of 2% at
design load.b.
The fraction of room sensible and total
design load experienced by the airside and the waterside systems of the building during those conditions is one of the most important variables that determines whether or not the waterside economizer can meet the entire cooling load at the 50[degrees]F dry bulb/45[degrees]F wet bulb (10[degrees]C/7.2[degrees]C) condition.
This eliminates the need to sort and use different resistor values to match different ranks, simplifying
design load and inventory management.
"The new system, to be completed in three years, will help absorb the excess flow to be caused by the planned EXPO zones, cope with the future expansion projects and direct part of the load borne by the Al Warsan plant, which exceeds its
design load by 27 per cent to Jebel Ali."
In order to gain a better understanding of the actual loads imposed on the heat pumps, the average hourly delivered capacity of the heat pumps, manufacturer's maximum capacity performance data, and the ACCA Manual J
design load point are plotted against the corresponding outdoor air temperature (OAT) in Figures 1 and 2.
Ride clearance may be termed as the spring travel on the vehicle from the
design load to the metal to metal contact position or the deflection from the
design load to the metal to metal contact position.
The maximum
design load and the design shear strength for the fillet weld according to AISC (2001) are also plotted in Fig.
One of the first questions a structural engineer must ask is 'What is the
design load?' For a spider web, however, it doesn't matter if the load is just strong enough to cause failure, or one hundred times higher - the net effect is the same.
