distracted walking injury

An injury that occurs when people are walking with their eyes glued to their smartphones. Bumping into poles and cars and even falling down stairs is a 21st century phenomenon due to the popularity of the devices, especially in the U.S. Although ordinary cellphones have always been a minor distraction, smartphones place a computer screen in front of the user, and this has changed the game. See smartphone and technophile.
