A sharp bend of the anterior part of the primary axis of the vertebrate embryo.

When any of the above sequent of events fails, the duodenojejunal flexure may freely hang from the foregut, at the right side of the abdomen.
Findings included dilated small bowel loops and transition points at both the distal ileum and duodenojejunal flexure. An exploratory laparotomy was performed after a failed trial of conservative management.
