An example of the companies' environmentally friendly processes was the use of
eggshells, which other producers usually discard after they use the rest of the egg to make cakes, biscuits and puff cakes.
Researchers have found an innovative way of using
eggshells to support new bone tissue growth.
This is observed as a higher minimum and maximum torque of composites containing carbon black and silica compared to composites made with
eggshells. Moreover,
eggshell particles, in addition to being bigger than carbon black and silica, also had the highest density, so a lower volume of filler was used to achieve the same weight.
As the chick grows inside the
eggshell, it needs calcium.
No improvement in egg quality as observed in this experiment was unexpected because increased Ca and P utilization by dietary phytase have been reported to improve egg quality, especially for
eggshell strength and thickness [20,21].
[7] experimentally measured the resonant frequency of an
eggshell based on a theoretical formula for the effect of the dimensions of the
eggshell and the modulus of elasticity on the resonant frequency.
The thermal treatment of the
eggshell wastes as raw material can lead to the formation of an inexpensive and environmentfriendly basic catalyst.
