Famous invigorating adaptogen with dark blue berries that regulates stress, strengthens adrenal and kidney function, physical endurance and mental/memory enhancement through its blood oxygen enriching properties. Eleuthero is a great herb for anyone who’s involved in sports or work that demands strength and endurance, and fatigued, stressed people with burned out adrenals and endocrine system. In the 1980s, Eleutherococcus senticosus (one of the most common and long-standing adaptogens) was referred to as "the drug that builds Russians" by Stephen Fulder (16), who claimed that the Soviets deemed it so beneficial to health that they were making sufficient extract to give 12 million citizens a month-long course every year (16).
