Caption: FIGURE 5: Organic constituent (a) and P-A-E ternary diagrams of Wenchang source rocks (b) and Enping source rock (c) (P: higher terrestrial plant; A: amorphous organic matter and alginite; E: exinite and sporonin).
The results show that relatively abundant exinite rich in hydrogen results in oil-prone Types-I-[II.sub.1] of organic matter in deep lacustrine facies, while relatively abundant vitrinite results in gas and condensate-prone Types-III-[II.sub.2] of organic matter in shore-shallow lacustrine and swamp facies.

Methane adsorption in coal is controlled by internal factors, including coal rank, macerals (vitrinite, exinite, and inertinite), and pore size distribution [1, 26, 29, 30, 32], and influenced by external factors, such as temperature, pressure, and humidity [26, 33, 34].
The [R.sub.o,max] value is 0.43, with values of 75.3% for vitrinite, 18.6% for inertinite, 2.7% for
exinite, and 5.3% for minerals [57].
The purpose of testing was to determine the percentage of the total organic components of rocks and the proportion of sapropel component,
exinite, vitrinite and inertinite in the total organic matter.
The contents of vitrinite, inertinite,
exinite, and minerals are 22.8%, 68.1%, 2.2%, and 6.9%, respectively.
