fauxtography

(fake phoTOGRAPHY) A photo that has been altered in an image editing program for political or commercial reasons. Fauxtography refers to manipulated images that are made to look real. In the digital world, it is very easy to add to or subtract from an image with the results looking very realistic. See Photoshopped and image editor.
