[¦fresh ′kȯr tek‚nēk] (petroleum engineering)
A method in which a core sample, fresh from the field, is subjected to waterflooding in the laboratory, and the resulting residual oil is determined; used to calculate total waterflood recovery of oil from a reservoir formation.
