full-authority digital electronic control (FADEC)
A digital electronic fuel control for a gas turbine engine that controls the fuel supply to the engine through the entire operating regime of the engine. The system significantly reduces the pilot workload while providing the best available engine efficiency and performance. The system also helps monitor engine health and critical operating parameters.
