geodesic motion

[¦jē·ə¦des·ik ′mō·shən]
(relativity)
Motion of a particle along a geodesic path in the four dimensional space-time continuum; according to general relativity, this is the motion which occurs in the absence of nongravitational forces.

Below, we discuss the geodesic motion of free test-particles, nature of singularities and its strength, and the C-energy of the presented spacetime.
Ultimately, we specify a configuration by the spacetime metric and the fields on it but the metric will be a function of the [[gamma].sup.[mu]] matrix fields (and some associated dual fields) that only give geodesic motion below some energy bound.
This is a loose end in deriving geodesic motion for a packet to show that we get observed motion in the classical GR limit and an important consideration in what follows.
Poplawski takes advantage of the Euclidean-based coordinate system called isotropic coordinates to describe the gravitational field of a black hole and model the radial geodesic motion of a massive particle into a black hole.
such that the free, geodesic motion of a particle along the fuzzy world-path s (x, u) = [tau] ([psi] ([bar.[psi]])) in the empty [U.sub.4] can simultaneously be described by the pair of dynamical equations
