gravimetric absorption method
[grav·ə′me·trik əb′sȯrp·shən ‚meth·əd] (analytical chemistry)
A method of measuring the moisture content of a gas in which a known volume of gas is passed through a suitable desiccant, such as phosphorus pentoxide or silica gel, and the change in weight of the desiccant is observed.
