gray-out

A temporary condition in which a person's vision is hazy, restricted, or other-wise impaired because of insufficient oxygen. This is experienced when the body is under positive g. The person experiencing gray-out sees as if he or she is looking down a foggy tunnel. Gray-out is the precursor to blackout, when vision becomes indistinct. See G-LOC.
