The city has a major field of large hadrosaurus fossils, discovered in the 1960s by a Chinese oil expedition.
In 1858 a professor of anatomy at the University of Pennsylvania named Joseph Leidy examined an early hadrosaurus discovered in New Jersey and came to the revolutionary insight that this monster didn't tread the ground like some brute from the bestiary but stood up.
