Experimental evaluation of
heat transfer coefficients between radiant ceiling and room.
This second simulation investigated if it is necessary to generate a separate
heat transfer coefficient for the wall thermocouples.
The local growth of the
heat transfer coefficient was influenced by the intensifiers due to the reduction of the free cross-sectional area of the channel and because of the increase of the turbulence of the coolant flow.
Tube-side
heat transfer coefficient, [h.sub.i] is evaluated from the Gnielinski correlation (Gnielinski, 1976).
Local
heat transfer coefficient distribution at the blade tip reveals that PSQ performs slightly better than SQ (Figure 9).
where S represents the absorbed solar radiation by the absorber metal and [h.sub.c,ap-c] and [h.sub.r,ap-c] represent convection and radiation
heat transfer coefficients between the absorber plate and glass cover, respectively, [h.sub.r,ap-j], represents radiation
heat transfer coefficient between the absorbing and jet plates, and [h.sub.cjap-a2] represents convection
heat transfer coefficient of the fluid on the absorbing plate.
Thus, by letting the overall
heat transfer coefficient be function of mass flow and fouling, a process model is then obtained which is capable of accurately describing the dynamics of the heat exchanger for a wide range of working conditions:
