[‚hē·dē′ō·mə ‚ȯil] (materials)
A yellowish essential oil distilled from the leaves of Hedeoma pulegioides; soluble in two or more parts of 70% alcohol, ether, and chloroform; used in medicine and perfumery. Also known as American pennyroyal oil; pulegium oil.
