high-tensile reinforcement

Steel reinforcing bars for concrete having a minimum yield strength above a specified value. high-tensile steel A low-alloy steel having an yield strength of 50,000 to 100,000 pounds per square inch (3.4 × 108 to 6.9 × 108 newtons per square meter). Also called high-strength steel.
