In line with the directives of Chairman Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Muhammad Arif Abbasi, the Directorate Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP and TE) RDA is taking strict action against illegal
housing schemes.
RDA spokesman Mohammad Irfan said under Punjab Private
Housing schemes and Land Subdivision Rules 2010 notice had been issued to the owner of the illegal
housing scheme.
The meeting also reviewed alternative sites for construction of
housing scheme under Prime Minister Imran Khan's Naya Pakistan
Housing Scheme.
He added that the RDA under a section of Punjab Private
Housing Schemes and Land Subdivision Rules 2010 issued notices to the owner of the mentioned
housing scheme and developers.

housing schemes and six shops constructed there.
RAWALPINDI -- Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has declared 14
housing schemes illegal on Dhamyal road, Chakri road and Adyala road Rawalpindi.
The Chief Minister directed secretary housing to complete the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pakistan Housing Authority and initial feasibility study for Peshawar
Housing Scheme within twenty days.He also directed to submit final and complete proposal for Swat and Hangu
housing schemes within 10 days further directing to submit the plan for hosuing scheme in District Kohat.
They have been warned to stop immediately the advertisement on electronic and print media otherwise RDA would seal the site and booking offices of the
housing schemes in Rawalpindi and First Information Report would be registered in relevant police station against the owner of the
housing scheme, he said.
The authority had advised the public not to invest in any illegal/unauthorized
Housing Scheme which had been declared illegal by RDA.
The private
housing schemes falling within the jurisdiction of the LDA under the LDA Act, 1975, the LDA Building and Zoning Regulations, 2007 and the LDA Private
Housing Scheme Rules, 2014 respectively and other applicable law remained in vogue from time to time.
