iLife

Apple's multimedia applications for Macs and iOS devices. Introduced in 2002, iLife was initially sold as a suite of apps for the Mac that comprised the iPhoto organizer/editor, iMovie editor and iDVD disc burner. For several years, iTunes was also included. In 2004, the GarageBand music editor was added, and in 2006, a website authoring program was included (iWeb). Subsequently, iDVD and iWeb were dropped, and iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand became available as separate downloads from the Mac App Store for both Macs and iOS devices. See iWork, iTunes and iCloud.
