He adds, "We're also looking at the use of large area, deployable, planar Fresnel antennas to get data back to Earth from an
interstellar probe at large distances.

interstellar probe," Acta Astronautica, July 10, 2015.
Washington, July 15 ( ANI ): Researchers have predicted that an
interstellar probe fleet - travelling at 10 percent of speed of light - could survey the entire Milky Way galaxy in 10 million years.
This features a great
interstellar probe, and I'm working on a study to design a starship with the British Interplanetary Society, so it fits with that.
Clearly cognizant of technology investment planning, the contributors of these 12 essays nevertheless describe their biggest and most ambitious ideas, from the Solar Polar Imager to the Titan Explorer (for Saturn's moon Titan), Neptune Orbiter (probing and landing on Neptune) a nuclear-powered
interstellar probe that will leave the heliosphere, the Stellar Imager (stars), the Modern Universe Space Telescope, the single aperture far infrared observatory, a kilometer-baseline far-infrared/submillimeter interferometer in space, the Generation-X vision mission, and the advanced Compton Telescope mission.
Another proposed sail mission, the
Interstellar Probe, would be the first to leave the solar system.
In the works, though yet to be approved, are a visible-light space telescope with an 8-metre mirror that would dwarf Hubble's, and an
interstellar probe that could explore space beyond the boundaries of our solar system.(ANI)
"One cannot but smile,' says Dessler, "thinking how, in a distant future, a community of, say, pulsar theorists will behave when an
interstellar probe is about to fly by a pulsar for the first time.
He describes the search for other solar systems, the distance between planetary systems, early quests for exoplanets, the first discoveries through radial-velocity measurements, finding exoplanets by their transits, directly observing them, detecting planets through gravitational lensing, minor methods for finding exoplanets, examples of new planets, how planets form with their stars, habitability, future approaches to finding exoplanets, and laser acceleration of
interstellar probes. ([umlaut] Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR)
