Bones occur mostly as isolated clasts in fluvial, calcitecemented intraformational conglomerate and lithicclast, pebbly intraformational conglomerate, along with occasional unionoid bivalves (Fig.
253); this occurrence is in calcite-cemented, pebbly intraformational conglomerate, similar in lithology to those outcrops elsewhere in the Evangeline Member that have produced bone.
The abundant mud-cracked bedding-plane surfaces in these strata are consistent with this interpretation, although the tooth-producing unit is a calcite-cemented intraformational conglomerate resembling units in the Wolfville Formation.
Sandstone is dominantly grey, fine- to medium-grained and thin- to thick-bedded, and contains lenses of intraformational conglomerate and sparsely embedded gravel/pebbles (Fig.
Multistoried sandstone body separated by erosional surface having intraformational conglomerate. Sandstone beds have trough and planar cross-stratification in Nagri Formation, near Bahadar Khel old bridge.Interpretation: The laterally persistent sheets of sandstone, dominated by large trough cross- stratification with subordinate small scale, planar and trough cross-stratification are interpreted as the deposit of sand-dominant braided fluvial system.
In this paper we show that desiccation mudcracks, storm-produced intraclasts, intraformational conglomerate, and bird's-eye structures taken together indicate an intertidal and supratidal environment during deposition of the Kokomo Limestone.
Intraformational conglomerate, bird's-eye (fenestrate) structures, and abundant rugs (Fig.
