leptomeningitis: rare complication of rheumatoid arthritis," Clinical Rheumatology, vol.
Necropsies of the dead manatees revealed severe catarrhal rhinitis, pulmonary hemorrhage and edema, and nonsuppurative
leptomeningitis, as well as possible chronic hemolytic anemia with multiorgan hemosiderosis and evidence of neurotoxicity.
In addition to causing TBM, TB infection in the CNS also can cause serous meningitis, tuberculomas, brain abscesses, and spinal
leptomeningitis (Starke & Smith, 1998).
We also recorded the presence of infectious and neoplastic CNS entities that were not encompassed in the preceding categories: HIV encephalitis, aseptic
leptomeningitis, and progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy, and CNS lymphoma.
B) Neonate 1: severe thinning of brain parenchyma (0.8 mm) with striking depletion of neuronal precursors and lymphocytic
leptomeningitis (original magnification x10).
Due to the new findings on CT scan an MRI was ordered, which showed subtle increased T2/flair signal interdigitating between the gyri, concerning for
leptomeningitis (Figure 2).

A common manifestation of CNS tuberculosis is
