Penetration of the radar coverage of a station which is not limited by pulse repetition frequency, scope limitations, or the screening angle at the azimuth of penetration.

Lobed diffuser has the inner and outer lobe penetration angles (22[degrees], 14[degrees]).
Each structure corresponds to the shear generated by two inverse transverse flows: outward flow due to the outer lobe penetration angle and inward flow due to the inner lobe through penetration angle.
The angular sweep between
lobe penetrations can be much smaller in counterrotation than in corotation, allowing a higher lobe count and therefore more mixing points per turn of the screw.
