The formation of cerebellar lobules is under strong genetic control, as confirmed by the absence of
lobulation in CXCR4-deficient mice [30], where granule cell precursors (gcps) fail to migrate properly to the internal granule cell layer, leading to a disorganized and irregular arrangement of PC dendritic trees.
Lobulation of the spleen may persist into adult life and be typically seen along the medial part of the spleen.
The connective tissue covering the gland was very thin and thus almost transparent, so that the
lobulation could be seen through.
In the hypercellular marrow dyserythropoiesis is recognised by abnormal nuclear
lobulation, irregular cytoplasmic haemoglobinisation together with basophilic stippling.
The ultrasonography examination of the neck revealed irregular restrictions in the superior right lobe of the thyroid, a 35 x 57-mm diameter of heterogeneous hypoechoic solid nodule with calcifications leading to
lobulation of the glandular contour, and a 20-mm diameter nodule at the left lobe.
Nuclear grooves,
lobulation and mitosis can be seen.
The cells can also experience abnormal nuclear
lobulation, displaying either hyposegmentation or hypersegmentation.
