Editorial Note: Lycoperdonosis is a rare respiratory illness caused by inhalation of spores of the mushroom Lycoperdon.
Only three cases of lycoperdonosis have been reported previously (1,3)--two in children and one in an adolescent.
The efficacy of using antifungal agents to treat lycoperdonosis is unknown.
