The lesions appear as sharply demarcated
macule less than five millimeters in diameter.
Ventral forewing duller than dorsum, distinctly brown caudad of [CuA.sub.2]; white
macules of dorsum repeated, additional narrow blue-white
macules in [R.sub.1]-[R.sub.2], extending just distad of distal end of
macule in discal cell and in Sc-[R.sub.1] extending well distad of distal end of that
macule; pale blue
macule at base of costa; postbasal band faint, most prominent in discal cell (especially on paratype); thin line of pale blue scales at distal end of discal cell; submarginal pale blue
macules similar to those on dorsum, that in [CuA.sub.2]-2A doubled (not on paratype); pale blue

Whenever possible, ecoenvironments (surrounding terrain and home interior) of patients with typical
macules associated with the comet sign were investigated.
Pentachrome Vitiligo: This includes a depigmented
macule, tan, brown hyperpigmentation, blue-gray hyperpigmentation and a normally pigmented skin.
Vitiligo is characterized by depigmented
macules and patches that are widely and symmetrically distributed.
