network

1. Electronics a system of interconnected components or circuits
2. Computing a system of interconnected computer systems, terminals, and other equipment allowing information to be exchanged

network

A group of computer systems situated at different locations and interconnected in such a way that they can exchange information by following agreed procedures. The information is transmitted as an encoded signal at high speed over communication lines. See also computing.

Network

Any set of interconnected elements that form an overall organization; also a diagram representing a series of interconnected events, as in the representation of the critical tasks in a building project.

[′net‚wərk]
(communications)
A number of radio or television broadcast stations connected by coaxial cable, radio, or wire lines, so all stations can broadcast the same program simultaneously.
(electricity)
A collection of electric elements, such as resistors, coils, capacitors, and sources of energy, connected together to form several interrelated circuits. Also known as electric network.
(engineering)
net
(mathematics)
The name given to a graph in applications in management and the engineering sciences; to each segment linking points in the graph, there is usually associated a direction and a capacity on the flow of some quantity.

network

1. An aggregate of interconnected electric conductors consisting of high-voltage feeders, step-down transformers, protective devices, mains, and services.
2. In CPM terminology, the same as arrow diagram.

network

(networking)
Hardware and software data communication systems.

The OSI seven layer model attempts to provide a way of partitioning any computer network into independent modules from the lowest (physical) layer to the highest (application) layer. Many different specifications exist at each of these layers.

Networks are often also classified according to their geographical extent: local area network (LAN), metropolitan area network (MAN), wide area network (WAN) and also according to the protocols used.

network

(1) Any arrangement of elements that are interconnected. See neural network and network database.

(2) A system that transmits data between users, which includes the client devices (computers, tablets and phones) and the network equipment (servers, switches, routers and cables). In wireless systems, antennas replace the cables.

LANs and WANs
Local area networks (LANs) are internal to a home, building or complex, and are almost exclusively Ethernet for cabled devices and Wi-Fi for wireless. Wide area networks (WANs) span large distances, such as a state or nation. See LAN, WAN, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, client, server, switch, router, enterprise networking and communications.

Viscodissection of the trabecular meshwork, viscodilation of the Schlemm's canal, keeping away the lips of trabeculotomy incision, and possibly prevention of postoperative hemorrhage and fibroblastic proliferation by means of high-viscosity sodium hyaluronate are the possible factors that play an important role in the overall success of this procedure.
When the pupil dilates, such as when entering a dark room, or when experiencing anxiety or stress, taking certain over the counter medications or medications with the glaucoma warning label, the angle can narrower even further, and the iris is forced against the trabecular meshwork, stopping drainage.
Post-trabecular glaucoma occurs when the trabecular meshwork itself is normal but aqueous outflow is impaired as a result of elevated episcleral venous pressure.
Once the entire meshwork has been treated with the laser, further treatments may be ineffective.
Trabeculoplasty involves administering laser burns to the trabecular meshwork which increases aqueous drainage.
Histologic examination has revealed that pigment granules are phagocytosed by both corneal epithelial cells and trabecular meshwork cells rather than being adsorbed onto their surface [11-14].
The procedure involves use of a Q-switched frequency-doubled Nd:YAG laser that targets melanocytes in the trabecular meshwork of the eye, thus reducing intraocular pressure (IOP).
Results: TCs in aortic arch had small cell bodies (length: 6.06-13.02 [micro]m; width: 1.05-4.25 [micro]m) with characteristics of specific long (7.74-39.05 [micro]m), thin, and moniliform Tps; TCs distributed in the whole connective tissue layer of tunica adventitia: TCs in the innermost layer of tunica adventitia, located at the juncture between media and adventitia, with their long axes oriented parallel to the outer elastic membrane; and TCs in outer layers of tunica adventitia, were embedded among transverse and longitudinal oriented collagen fibers, forming a highly complex three-dimensional meshwork. Moreover, desmosomes were observed, serving as pathways connecting neighboring Tps.
Blood pressure may affect episcleral venous pressure, which is important in regulating the flow of aqueous across the trabecular meshwork into Schlemm's canal15.
As the trabecular meshwork is also derived from the neural crest, it stands to reason that patients with posterior embryotoxon are predisposed to open-angle glaucoma.
It can cause destabilization of lysozomal membranes of trabecular meshwork..
Yet Pfeiffer has digitally removed each basketball so that the camera seems to pan and follow an absence that suddenly, dramatically, and spectrally flutters through the meshwork of the net.
