All these units and structures are overprinted by regional Neoacadian folds and cleavage, and by the
metamorphic aureole of the Halifax Pluton.
Especially, our research addresses the emplacement conditions of the pluton in the low--medium grade metamorphic country rock that produced a contact metamorphic aureole around the pluton.
The name Parashi Pluton was proposed by Renz (1959) and redefined by Lookwood (1965) as Parashi Quartzdiorite, who characterized the body as a mesozonal intrusion with a narrow contact metamorphic aureole in the country rock and reported a hornblende K/Ar age of 48 [+ or -] 4 Ma in a quartzdiorite sample from the pluton.

Andalusite mineralisation occurs in the Transvaal basin in pelitic strata where these fall within the
metamorphic aureole of the Bushveld Complex that intruded the Transvaal Supergroup sediments about 2,050 million years ago.
Intrusion-like ophiolite bodies outcroped in Renbu, where country layers maintain sub-concordant contact to the ultramafic bodies with contact
metamorphic aureole. The ophiolite zone diverges westward into branches, separated by country flysch.
The Musquodoboit Batholith (MB) intrudes metasedimentary rocks of the Meguma Group, and a narrow contact
metamorphic aureole containing cordierite porphyroblasts in finer grained biotite and andalusite hornfels is developed within a few hundred metres of the contact (MacDonald and Clarke 1985; Ham 1993; Horne et al.
