microtubule-associated protein that induces assembly of microtubules from purified tubulin," Journal of Molecular Biology, vol.
Growing evidence indicates that the cytoskeleton, a structural system including microtubules and
microtubule-associated proteins (MAPs), may play an important role in stress-induced impairments of neuronal structural plasticity (10).
There is further evidence of a role for p38[delta] MAPK in cytoskeleton regulation as the
microtubule-associated protein stathmin has also been characterised as a good p38[delta] MAPK substrate in vitro and in transfected cells exposed to osmotic shock [50].
The microtubule assembly conditions without and with XMAP215 are assumed to be comparable to the previously described conditions for microtubule assembly without and with
microtubule-associated proteins, respectively.
The sections were stained for S-100 protein, glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), cytokeratin, and
microtubule-associated protein. Stains were positive for S-100 protein (figure 2, B) and GFAP (figure 2, C).

A variety of hypotheses have been proposed for explaining the causes of AD, such as cholinergic hypothesis, amyloid b-proteins hypothesis, and
microtubule-associated protein tau hypothesis etc.
