The sundogs, also known as mock suns, were observed at around 10 p.m.
Also called mock suns, these bright spots are caused by a combination of reflection and refraction in horizontally floating ice platelets.
The two additional suns were presumably "mock Suns" or "Sun dogs," technically known as parhelia.
