mod_perl
Software that integrates Perl programming with the Apache Web server. It provides several features including the ability to access databases and use Perl in Apache modules and configuration files. CGI scripts also run considerably faster. The mod_perl software and other Perl utilities are available from the Comprehensive Perl Archive Network (CPAN) at http://cpan.org.
