molecular gage

[mə′lek·yə·lər ′gāj]
(engineering)
Any instrument, such as a rotating viscometer gage or a decrement gage, that uses the dependence of the viscosity of a gas on its pressure to measure pressures on the order of 1 pascal or less. Also known as viscosity gage; viscosity manometer.
