A prefix for chemical compounds to show a single radical; for example, monoglyceride, a glycol ester on which a single acid group is attached to the glycerol group.

The aim of the present study was to compare the survival and growth performance of abant trout and brook trout in mono- and in duoculture, and to determine their effects of culture strategy.
The survival rate of brook trout was found to be similar in both mono- and duoculture.
