A fired clay brick, often multicolored, having a rough-textured surface; used for facing work.

The masonry block walls are topped with multicolored brick skin and operational, double-hung windows let light in.
For example, Untitled, 1999, suggests two multicolored brick walls, while the earliest work shown here, Untitled, 1988, is graded from an intense red at the top to white at the bottom, with a black, twelve-pointed star or crack-like form on the bottom.
Several of them display imagery the artist has employed since the 1990s, such as bodies kneeling and praying, multicolored bricks, and circles resembling abstract heads.
