multiuser NT

Using Windows NT like a central, timeshared computer with terminals. Citrix developed this method with its WinFrame software and subsequently worked with Microsoft to create Windows Terminal Server. As a network operating system (NOS), NT was designed to service many users; however, multiuser NT referred to a terminal-based architecture. See WinFrame.
