The thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA) illustrated that the thermal degradation of nanocomposites samples were started at the range of 350-393 AdegC, which was appreciably higher than neat Nyl 6,6 (360 AdegC).
Both Nyl 6,6 and nanocomposites samples were also used for the adsorption of Neutral red chloride (NRC) dye, which significantly remove the dye from the aqueous solution.
Polymer nanocomposites, which have been attracting great attention from polymer engineers for last two decades, are generally composed of a polymer matrix and a type of nanofiller that has a size of at least one dimension <100 nm [1-5].
The polymer nanocomposites comprising the modified graphenes resulted in superior physical properties [9,34].
(i) 0D nanocomposite coatings: the filler are nanoparticles (3 dimensions in nanometer scale).
(ii) 1D nanocomposite coatings: the filler are nanotubes or whiskers (2 dimensions in nanometer scale).
Montmorillonite is one of the most familiar natural clay used in the preparation of polymer clay
nanocomposite membrane because of its ability to be dispersed in the polymeric matrices at nanoscopic level [4] and only a small amount of this material was needed in the fabrication of
nanocomposites.
The
nanocomposites market size is estimated to be USD 4.1 billion in 2019 and is projected to reach USD 8.5 billion by 2024
