A state of analgesic consciousness produced by the administration of neuroleptic drugs, allowing painless surgery to be performed on a wakeful subject.

On the 14th postoperative day, the urinary catheters were withdrawn from all animals following
neuroleptoanalgesia using a mixture of morphine (0.3mg [kg.sup.-1]) and midazolam (0.1mg [kg.sup.-1]) intramuscularly.
Neuroleptoanalgesia was performed with intramuscular injection of a mixture of tramadol (2mg [kg.sup.-1]) and chlorpromazine chloride (1mg [kg.sup.-1]).
