noncorrosive flux
[¦nän·kə¦rō·siv ′fləks] (metallurgy)
A soldering flux composed of rosin or of rosin in a volatile solvent; the residue is nonhygroscopic, noncorrosive, and nonconducting; suitable for soldering electronic components. Also known as activated rosin flux.
