on course

i. A term used to indicate that the aircraft is established on the route centerline.
ii. A term used by ATC (air traffic control) to advise a pilot making a radar approach that his or her aircraft is lined up on the final approach course.
iii. When following a radio-range (an obsolete form of navigation), an area in which a continuous tone is heard and the aircraft is supposed to be on course to the facility. See radio-range.
