Acute laryngitis, chronic laryngitis, contact
pachydermia, habitual dysphonia, tubercular laryngitis, and vocal cord palsy showed improvement in more than 80% cases with conservative management.
On stroboscopy, the posterior glottic tissue no longer prolapsed into the airway, but there was persistent
pachydermia laryngitis, Reinke edema, and mucosal redundancy (figure 2).
The diagnosis of PHOA is based on typical clinical features of clubbing of digits and distal periostitis of long bones associated with
pachydermia. The distinguishing radiological features are new bone formation leading to periosteal thickening along the distal diaphysis of tibia, radius, ulna, fibula and femur.

Clinically, the lesions most significant from a precancerous standpoint manifest as white (leukoplakia) and red (erythroplakia)
pachydermia. Leukoplakia is only a descriptive clinical term that indicates a white mucosal patch or plaque; the diagnosis must be complemented by histology.
INTRODUCTION: Pachydermoperiostosis (PDP), the primary or idiopathic form of hypertrophic osteoarthropathy (HOA), is characterized by
pachydermia, clubbing of digits of both hands and feet, and periostosis.
At the 4-month follow-up visit, strobovideolaryngoscopy revealed a significant reduction in laryngeal crusting, but posterior glottic inflammation,
pachydermia, and mild leukoplakia persisted.
It is characterized by digital clubbing,
pachydermia (thickening of the facial skin and/or scalp), and periostosis (swelling of periarticular tissue and subperiosteal new bone formation).
Significant Reinke's edema and
pachydermia were also present.
