peritoneoscope

[‚per·ə·tə′nē·ə‚skōp]
(medicine)
A long, slender endoscope equipped with sheath, obturator, biopsy forceps, a sphygmomanometer bulb and tubing, scissors, and a syringe; introduced through a small incision in the abdominal wall to permit visualization of the gas-inflated peritoneal cavity.
