push-down storage
[′pu̇sh‚dau̇n ‚stȯr·ij] (computer science)
A computer storage in which each new item is placed in the first location in the storage and all the other items are moved back one location; it thus follows the principle of a push-down list. Also known as cellar; nesting storage; running accumulator.
